About Devon Berry

Devon Berry, PhD, is a longtime nurse and academician who most recently held leadership responsibilities with the School of Nursing at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). As executive associate dean for four years, Dr. Devon Berry oversaw day-to-day operations of the Portland-based institution and ensured that overall performance was high.

Dr. Berry’s associate dean position also involved managing academic program directors for a half-dozen school of nursing APRN programs and ensuring that strategic resources were properly deployed.

Previously serving as faculty and director for strategic initiatives with the Wright State Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Berry provided internal consulting focused on organizational change. His sustained efforts as a faculty member earned him the Holly Jackson Award for Outstanding Innovation in Co-Curricular Activities.

Speaking before the Division of Multicultural Affairs and Community Engagement in 2013, he gave an invited oral presentation on the topic “​Reflections from a Man Troubled by Time” at the division’s Annual Strategic Planning Retreat.
